MyAccount Program

Welcome to the MyAccount Program, an innovative banking initiative by the Kurdistan Regional Government (KRG) aimed at simplifying salary distributions for its public sector employees through electronic channels. For employees across all public sectors in the Kurdistan Region, the MyAccount Program offers convenient access to salaries, eliminating the hassle of waiting in long queues. It represents a significant step forward for both the economic and digital landscapes in the region.

WHAT DO YOU NEED TO KNOW ABOUT MYACCOUNT?
  • MyAccount is a savings account where your salary is directly deposited, allowing you to make transactions and withdrawals, with the flexibility to access any amount of your salary at any time, provided it is within your account balance.
     
  • MyAccount is linked to a debit card enabling you to make purchases locally and worldwide at points of sale or over the Internet, and to withdraw cash from ATMs.
     
  • MyAccount at BBAC is open only to eligible public sector employees, specifically civil servants and Peshmerga personnel.
     
  • Fees:

    - Account opening fee: No fees

    - BBAC ATM cash withdrawal fee: No fees
      *0.4% fee (minimum 1,000 IQD) on cash withdrawals from other banks’ ATMs

    - Balance inquiries and other non-cash transactions fees: No fees

    - Monthly fees deducted from your salary: 2,000 IQD for salary transfer and 500 IQD for debit card issuance

  • Check your account balance through BBAC’s ATM, Online or Mobile Banking, or by contacting Customer Care
     
  • Receive  instant SMS notification on salary day, notifying you that your salary has been transferred and is ready for withdrawal
     
  • Withdraw cash from any ATM in Iraq and worldwide
    *Withdrawal limits may vary depending on the bank
WHAT IS THE NEXT STEP?

Below are the steps of how you can register in the MyAccount Program.

  1. Prepare your ID
    In order to verify your identity during MyAccount Program registration, you are required to show one of the following two original ID combinations (no copies accepted) on the registration day:

    a. Option 1: National ID Card + Karti Zanyari. Both documents must be presented.

    b. Option 2: Civil ID + Citizenship Card + Karti Zanyari. All three documents must be presented.

     
  2. Register in the program 

    MyAccount Program registration will take place at the designated venue on the predefined dates (check onboarding schedule)

    On those dates, MyAccount agents will be available on-site to help you register in the program.
     

  3. Choose BBAC as your bank from a list of participating banks in the MyAccount Program
     

  4. Collect your BBAC debit card
    Once BBAC has processed your data and successfully opened an account for you, you will be issued a debit card. Your Accounting Unit will inform you promptly when the card is ready for collection.

    Once you receive your debit card and PIN, follow the instructions provided with the card to activate it. You can then start using your account for transfers, POS transactions, and withdrawals.
