BBAC supports 100 students with Language Enhancement Program

posted on 09 Jul 2019
In line with its ongoing care and support for the youth to help them build a promising future in Lebanon, BBAC has participated in the Social Work League project aiming at providing public school students in several Lebanese regions with English courses, as part of the education and language strengthening program, to get them ready for university, armed with strong language and culture.

The certificate award ceremony that was held at the Druze Community House in Verdun, saw 100 students from several schools in the Shouf, Rachaya, Mount Lebanon, and the Higher Metn successfully graduate the program. Mr. Nadim Hemadeh, AGM for Banking at BBAC, who was present at the ceremony, congratulated the students on their efforts and affirmed the bank’s support for their ambitions: "Whoever starts from the right place and takes education seriously, shall receive all support from our side, for we are ‘Your Caring Bank’”, said Mr. Hemadeh. “We have always believed in the role of NGO’s and associations in driving change in our communities and have always coordinated with them on a regular basis”, he added.

It is worth noting that the Social Work League is working hard to promote education and culture, and that BBAC is accompanying it on this journey. In addition to the bank's support for all educational initiatives, including this session and the previous one, the bank signed, in 2011, a cooperation protocol with the League to provide interest-free educational loans to 100 students.

The ceremony was attended by a large number of the region’s personalities and public figures, notably the pioneers of this initiative and officials of the Social Work League.
